Pump cavities
One-piece or split alumina cavities with bores for rod, lamp, and cooling.
Product family
Alumina ceramic pump cavities, reflector halves, and laser cores that surround the laser rod and pump source in lamp- and diode-pumped solid-state lasers.

Product overview
In lamp- and diode-pumped solid-state lasers, a ceramic cavity surrounds the laser rod and pump source. The ceramic reflects pump light back into the rod and withstands heat and cooling water.
Typical requests include alumina pump cavities in one piece or two halves, reflector inserts, laser ceramic cores, and cavities with bores for the rod, lamp, and cooling flow. Bore position and the reflecting surface condition matter most.
Send the cavity drawing, laser type, and cooling arrangement. Reflectivity depends on material and surface, and is confirmed per project rather than assumed.
Product types
These are made to customer drawings or samples, not sold from stock. Final material, route, and acceptance are confirmed for each drawing.

Decision map
Use the final column as a drawing and RFQ check. A requirement is easier to review when its function and acceptance evidence are stated together.
| Requirement | Why it changes the route | What to define in the RFQ |
|---|---|---|
| Bore position and alignment | Rod and pump bores must be parallel and correctly spaced for efficient pumping. | Give bore sizes, spacing, parallelism, and datums. |
| Reflecting surface | The surface and material affect diffuse reflection of pump light. | State the reflectivity target or reference part and how it is evaluated. |
| Cooling and sealing | Water-cooled cavities need sealing faces and resistance to thermal cycling. | Mark sealing faces, flatness, and operating temperature. |
Material paths
Usual choice for diffuse reflectors; purity and porosity affect reflection.
Alternative reflector ceramics can be reviewed against a reference part.

Engineering guides
Each guide below narrows one part family or manufacturing constraint and leads back to the drawing information needed for review.
Select and specify ceramic mounts, spacers, alignment fixtures, apertures, insulating supports, and thermal interfaces for optical and laser equipment RFQs.
How engineers should specify precision machined alumina ceramic parts for insulation, wear, vacuum, sensors, fixtures, high-temperature systems, and industrial assemblies.
Map ceramic machining tolerances to functional features, datums, finishing access, and inspection evidence before comparing quotations or approving a drawing.
Questions before quotation
Yes, from a drawing or sample. Bore geometry is measured and confirmed with you; reflectivity is compared against the original if needed.
Engineering RFQ
Start with the part function, material or grade if known, quantity, and the critical requirements; an early-stage brief is enough to begin. If online submission is interrupted, the form prepares the same RFQ as an email instead.
